So there I was, August 23rd, 2015 packed in a van with a bunch of musicians from Cover Story Entertainment heading up north for a wedding when we hear a news report of a couple getting burned by a wedding company that's gone bankrupt and they won't be getting their money back. Their wedding is two weeks away!
DJ Nick Angelo is sitting next to me, and he's bummed out for these folks, so am I. The band has a gig that day, but Nick and I both agree if we can get a hold of the couple we'll offer to help them out, free of charge. No word of a lie, less than a minute goes by and Nick nudges me, shows me his phone, he's already talking to the groom via Facebook messenger. Damn, Nick you are tech savvy.
Fast forward to September 5th, We meet Pete and Lex for the first time and after some quick hello's it was game time. If you're from New England, when you think of Plimoth Plantation you probably think farm animals, antique farming tools, and the museum you visited on a school field trip as a kid. What you totally missed was some secret garden-esque area they carved out for wedding ceremonies. What a cool spot. Surrounded by friends and family, Pete and Lex tied the knot.
After, the wedding party and their guests trekked to the other side of the plantation and enjoyed some refreshments, pond side. The reception kicked off with some Texas inspired entrances (Pete's from San Antonio) and some very warm toasts from Lex's father, the best man and the maid of honor. Then Pete really showed us his moves, kid's got skills.
We had a blast with Pete, Lex and the Owen/Decot crew! Special thanks to DJ Nick Angelo From Cover Story Entertainment, we hope you enjoy the highlights!
